Kathrine Peereboom

Founder & Director – DanceAble

Kathrine Peereboom is a dynamic performer, educator and nationally recognised disability advocate whose career spans the stage, the studio, and the spotlight of social change. As a professional dancer and singer, she has performed across Australia in major productions, theme parks and entertainment venues, sharing the stage with international celebrities and delighting audiences nationwide.

Alongside her success in the arts, Kat has built a powerful reputation as a leader in the disability community. For four years she headed a disability dance school, teaching students whose milestones and achievements became the highlight of her week. With over a decade of experience working with individuals with complex disabilities, she is widely recognised for creating safe, inclusive spaces where students can connect, express, and thrive.

Kat’s work extends far beyond the studio. She is a keynote speaker, educator of first responders and the driving force behind initiatives that have influenced policy, technology and inclusion for people with disability across Australia. Her achievements have seen her honoured nationally, including recognition as a finalist for Australian of the Year (Local Hero) and awarded by two Police Commissioners.

At DanceAble, Kat combines her fearless teaching style, creative spark, and visionary leadership to make the school more than just a place to dance, it is a movement where artistry meets advocacy and where every person is empowered to shine.

Kiera

Team member

Kiera has spent over ten years working within the education system in a variety of roles, where she discovered a deep passion for inclusion. Over time, this passion grew beyond the classroom as she wanted to do more in the broader disability and support sector. She first found her place as a Support Coordinator, navigating the complexities of supporting participants and their families. Once again her love grew as she found herself wanting to do more for participants within this space and utilise her educational experience working within inclusion to further assist children and families on a deeper level.

This journey led her to become the co-owner of The Connection Boutique, where the focus is on building connections and nurturing potential. Within this multidisciplinary therapy company, Kiera works as an Early Childhood Professional, Educator, and Keyworker, supporting children and families to achieve their goals through tailored, holistic approaches.

In her personal life, Kiera is a proud parent of three children aged 16, 6, and 4, one of whom is neurodivergent. Like any parent, this brings its challenges, but it is something she deeply values and would never change. She enjoys summer, barbecues with friends, holidays, and relaxed days at home. Family and friends are central to her life, and she cherishes the connections she shares with them.

Jodi

Team member

Jodi is an Early Childhood Professional and Key Worker who has spent her career working across mainstream and special education settings, as well as in the disability sector. She has extensive experience supporting families in complex situations, particularly within low socio-economic regions, and guiding them through their NDIS journey with care and clarity.

She is passionate about helping people recognise their unique learning styles and embrace their diagnoses with pride. By collaborating with families and support networks, Jodi focuses on building strong teams and strategies that are practical, empowering, and sustainable. Her goal is to create inclusive environments where differences are celebrated, and every individual feels a true sense of belonging.

Outside of work, Jodi enjoys spending time with her husband, their three children. She finds loves the simple things in life, like recharging at the beach and making the most of the Gold Coast lifestyle with her family.

Ash

Team member

Ash is a paediatric occupational therapist who, for the past four years, has primarily worked alongside NDIS participants. She is passionate about bringing a client-centred approach to her work, collaborating closely with participants and their support networks to develop strategies that are meaningful, practical, and sustainable.

With a focus on enabling meaningful engagement, she addresses barriers that individuals may face in everyday life while also strengthening their skills and support networks. Her goal is to empower participants to achieve their personal goals and to foster inclusive environments that enable people of all abilities to thrive.

Outside of work, she values spending time with her family and recharging in ways that bring balance and joy to her life.
